Remembrance Service 2022

The whole school gathered in the hall this morning for our Remembrance Service. Children from all year groups shared art work and facts about poppies, the symbol of remembrance and hope that has been adopted since 1919, a year after the end of The Great War - World War I.

As the children showed their respect with two minutes of silence, we tried to emulate part of the Royal British Legion Service held each year at the Royal Albert Hall with tissue paper poppies falling gently to the floor .
