Girls Football County Cup Finals - 15th January 2019

On Tuesday 15th January, 9 enthusiastic girls from Year 5 and 6 strapped on their shin pads and pulled up their socks in preparation for an intense day of football alongside many other good teams from Wiltshire, all aiming to win the County Cup. Our team proved that we didn’t need much warming up as we smashed the first team 2-1, with Phoebe scoring two goals. The second match, we played Covingham and we led ourselves to victory when Charlotte scored a super goal. Unfortunately, our next match we lost 4-0 against Lacock. Our team played really well but, despite our efforts, it didn’t pay off. Our last match we drew against Winsley. We gave it our best but the victory wasn't there with a final score.

We thank Miss O'Connor and Miss Fletcher for taking us.
